Never picked up a needle? Or you have a machine, but either don't know or can't remember how to use it? Come and figure it all out with LIzzie.

In this taster day, we'll work through the ‘Betty’s Bag’ kit, a project bag pattern designed for complete beginners, which introduces you to some of the key terms you’ll find in sewing patterns.

You will leave having sewn a beautiful lined bag with a secret phone pouch attached. Yes, you really will!

The workshop takes place at Lizzie’s studio in central Bristol, in a working textiles and tailoring space. Small groups, maximum 6 people.

NO PRIOR SEWING EXPERIENCE NECESSARY & PATTERN IS PROVIDED

Location: Betty Silk Studio, Bristol
We are close to the end of the M32 and Temple Meads train station is five minutes walk.

Tea, coffee and sweet treats will be provided. Please bring lunch, or you can visit one of the excellent local cafés.
There is a fabulous pub across the road, and within a few minutes walk are both Bristol’s best cake haven Bakehouse and the famous Hart’s Bakery.
